Saddle Stitching

Mainly used for promotional brochures with few pages, product manuals, promotional booklets, journals and magazines, instruction manuals, exhibition booklets, menus, etc.
Appearance features:
The book can lie completely flat, opening 180°;
Two metal staple legs are visible at the center fold (inside), and the wire staple heads are on the outer spine;
Great page count limitation: if the paper stack is too thick, folding is difficult and the wire cannot penetrate;
No hard spine, the book cannot stand upright;
Inner pages near the center are slightly shorter than outer pages (caused by nested trimming).

Applicable page count: 8–64P (P = pages, including covers), thin books are best, commonly within 20P;
Paper thickness: generally 80–250g art paper / offset paper; thicker paper greatly reduces the maximum page count;
Advantages: lowest cost, fast delivery, can lie completely flat;
Disadvantages: cannot make thick books; inner pages closer to the center are shorter; wire staples rust easily; cannot print spine text.
